Before I moved to Vermont I had some very romantic ideas about what it would be like, and even now I think people have distinct ideas about Vermont and Vermonters. There’s the sking and the maple syrup and of course the dairy farms and Ben and Jerry’s ice cream. Never forget the fall foliage or the beautiful mountains and doesn’t everyone know someone with a camp on a lake or in the woods to get away to? Who doesn’t like to be here on the 4th of July?
Well, today starts hunting season here in central VT [deer that is ] and what a big deal it is in these little towns. Somehow I have gotten used to it, why even the 1st graders [the girls] I was with last week were talking about hunting and guns and they are only 6. I live less than a mile from a weigh in station so some of you know what that means!!!!!! Yuck
Now that Halloween is over it is time to concentrate on my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, so yesterday I headed off to the floral supply company to get new stock for the shop. This is what greeted me when I came in the front door!
I must say it is the prettiest mount I have ever seen. LOL The florist supply has several guys working there in fact the head designer is a guy hence this display! This is the memory I want of deer hunting this year!!! Beautiful heh?
Have a great weekend, peg
