It must be Fall

It is truly in the air. Beautiful warm sunshine by noon and then cold hands by 4pm. This time of year always makes me check the calendar and see when daylight savings time ends and the time goes back to “normal”, which for me means it is dark way to early. We are still painting furniture outside but our days are numbered up here in the north country so we are as busy as possible getting ready for our Open House on October 31st. Today our Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint arrived and we went right to work painting a bench that we have been holding on to for a very long time.

Two friends stopped by the shop today and one wants to  make cookies for our Open House and the other came to get her curtains and spied the wreath that I had made for the opening and proceeded to buy it!!!

That IS why I am in business but sometimes I like the things in the shop too much!  Anyway I finished this wreath today ‘Woodsy Welcome’ and will make another one of the ‘Autumn Meadow’ wreaths tomorrow. Don’t you just love the burlap rose rosette instead of a bow? So easy to make with a new line of ribbon we have in the shop.

Well my work day is over and it is time to sit by the fire with a cup of tea.

Warm Regards
